Meet other local pianists and piano-lovers and attend concerts featuring the piano usually in less well-known venues with up-and-coming performers. We also organise regular performance opportunities for pianists. Beginners are most welcome. Do come along and observe if you are unsure about performing. We all meet for lunch, drinks and plenty of piano chat after events! The group is organised by pianists and teachers Lorraine Liyanage and Frances Wilson, both of whom run popular private piano tea …
This is a group for musicians of any standard to get together and enjoy playing folk music together; looking for banjos, mandolins, flutes, bodhrans, guitar, pipes, whistles, accordions, melodicas, spoons... The point isn't to be brilliant; being crap is an option. If you're good it's about being generous; if you're learning it's about discovering how to play together. It's about finding a place to relax as we play too. Pubs, clubs and sessions are, inevitably, about performing. This is more abo …

An eclectic bunch of people from a variety of professional backgrounds who live in London, happen to play an instrument or sing and want to write and perform original songs for fun. IN SHORT: A musical melting pot....
This is a group for any musicians in the Brighton area wanting to jam acoustic music e.g. acoustic guitar/bass, percussion, harmonica, vocals, string instruments etc. Any music genre could work but the focus would mainly be on rock/pop/folk/blues. Feel free to bring along some songs you want to play, including any music you have written yourself! All skill levels are welcome. I started this group because I love playing music with other people and I want to meet more local musicians. However, if …

Some of the art societies are a bit stuffy. I would like to start a group that has amateur artists and appreciators of art who can meet up to visit art exhibitions, galleries, museums and maybe hold art days. Perhaps a group of us could hire a studio/room or whatever. Maybe some of us could hold joint exhibitions of our work to reduce costs? Anyway, whatever interest you have in art, it would be good to hear from you :)

Do you play acoustic guitar? Have you ever wanted to play and sing with other guitarists? This group was formed to allow experienced or aspiring acoustic guitarists to get together to learn pop songs. The songs we learn will range from classics from the past (e.g. Elvis, Beatles or Stones) to contemporary ones (e.g. Jessie J, Kings of Leon, Maroon 5). The songs we choose depends on the musical preferences and abilities of the members at the time but there should be something for everyone. We wi …
This is a group for new and experienced musicians in and around Reading who want to meet other musicians, play together, form bands, share skills or progress their talent. My name is Dan and I've been playing guitar on and off for over 12 years. If you're a musician, you may know what it's like: You get into playing for a while and then something distracts you and stop playing months, may be even years. It can be hard at times to stay motivated and keeping practising. My plan to keep motivated …

This is for anyone who plays a musical instrument, or would like to play more. If you haven't played for a while, get your keyboard/flute/guitar/melodica/trum
pet down from the loft. Dust it off, come along and play. It's a new group. To start with I have arranged Beck's 'Songreader' score into Ableton live. If you don't know this project, it's fab! This album has been released only as musical notation and it's up to us to interpret it and bring it to life. They're great tunes in a range of style …
